Hi! My names Adam Rodriguez. Some people call me Rocky, hence Rocky’s Cartoon Shop! I’m a person that’s always looking for an excuse to have a laugh, so I like to cartoon, but I’m also an accomplished Graphic Designer, Illustrator, Merchandiser, Product Designer and Marketer with over 30 Years of professional experience. Both my parents were artists, and I grew up in an atmosphere where artistic expression and personal development were encouraged. I spent most of my youth working in my dad’s Manhattan studio, while at home, my mom’s beautiful watercolor paintings provided me with the inspriation to develop my own unique style. They were both very talented and inspirational.

I’ve been drawing and creating art since I was a kid. After graduating from Midland Park High School in New Jersey, I attended the Rhode Island School of Design, afterwhich, I began working in my Dad’s Studio. It was there that I produced point of sale brochures, free standing inserts and displays along with the occasional illustration work for New York’s Madison Avenue Agencies. It was the perfect place to learn the basics of running a successful agency from sales to design, production and billing.

Wanting a change and looking to strike out on my own, I worked as a Carpenter for a while, then went back into the design field and took a full-time job as a staff artist at Changes Inc. At the time, Changes was one of the country’s largest licensed T-shirt manufacturer’s located in Queen’s New York. This was the begining of my career in the Apparel and Accessories industry. Since then I’ve never looked back. I’ve worked as Staff Artist, Apparel, Accessory, Bedding and Room Decor Designer, Graphic Designer and Merchandiser for some of the Industry’s leading companies. I have over 30 years of experience creating successful marketing and branded strategies for a wide range of licensed and private label products across multiple distribution channels which have increased profits for the companies I’ve worked for while providing a comfortable living for myself and my family. I’m truly grateful.

As of March 2019 I’ve served as Vice-President and Creative Director of Blue Raven Entertainment, a boutique booking and management agency with a strong focus on Classic Rock Tributes and Legacy Acts. I’m proud of the fact that my unique style and leadership has helped distinguished Blue Raven Entertainment as one of the country’s fastest growing, full service agencies. Blue Raven offers design, marketing and merchandising solutions for both our bands and our buyers which has exponentially increased our revenue, tripling our gross profits in less than five short years!
